Max Broemel

Max Albert Günther Broemel (born June 7, 1846 in Berlin ; † April 17, 1925 there ) was a German economist , author and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Broemel attended the Friedrich-Werdersche Gymnasium in Berlin and studied from 1866 to 1870 at the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin and attended the statistical seminar of the Royal Prussian Statistical Bureau . From 1872 to 1879 he was secretary of the merchants' union in Stettin and from 1879 general secretary of the Association for the Promotion of Freedom of Trade in Berlin. Between 1874 and 1879 he was city councilor in Stettin and from 1886 to 1889 city councilor in Berlin. Between 1893 and 1910 he was a member of the Liberal Association .

From 1884 to 1893 and from 1898 to 1903 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Stettin and the German Progressive Party . Between 1887 and 1908 he was also a member of the Prussian House of Representatives .
