Oscar and the Wolf is the electro-pop project by Belgian musician Max Colombie.

history

Max Colombie (born February 22, 1991 in Jette , Belgium ) found his way into the music business at a young age : In 2005, the then 14-year-old came second in the Belgian preliminary round of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with his piano ballad Voor Eeuwig . In the same year the title was released as a single, followed in 2006 by Nobody . But first Colombie interrupted his musical career and began studying painting in Ghent .

In 2010 Colombie founded the band Oscar and the Wolf together with Ozan Bozdag, Claudio Arduini and Jasper Bullynck , with himself as the front man. The debut EP Imagine Mountains was released in 2010 and Summer Skin in 2012 . With Orange Sky , the band managed to get more attention for the first time in 2013, but Oscar and the Wolf made their breakthrough in 2014 with the dream pop album Entity . Other musicians involved were Kris Verhelst, Filip Brans and Roland Spooren. Concerts all over Europe followed, including appearances at Paradiso (Amsterdam) and at major festivals such as Rock Werchter , Hurricane , Pukkelpop and Tomorrowland . In addition, Oscar and the Wolf won 2014 Music Industry Awards in three categories.

Oscar and the Wolf is now being continued by Colombie as a one-man project, accompanied by a team of twenty.
