Max Fuhrmann the Elder
Max Fuhrmann the Elder (* 1860 in Munich ; † May 31, 1908 there ) was a German painter.
After attending the Munich School of Applied Arts , Max Fuhrmann studied from October 10, 1877 at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich with Alexander Strähuber , Gyula Benczúr and Ludwig von Löfftz .
Max Fuhrmann worked as a freelance artist in Munich. He created series pictures, drawings, illustrations, and designed cardboard boxes for church windows. In 1906 he added the Gothic frescoes in the Augustinian Church in Constance .
Max Fuhrmann died at the age of 48. He was the father and first teacher of the painter Max Fuhrmann the Younger (1891-1953).
