Max Joseph Roemer
Max Joseph Roemer (* 1791 ; † 1849 ) was a German botanist. Its official botanical author abbreviation is " M. Roem. "
Life
Max Joseph Römer graduated from Munich grammar school in 1809 . He then completed his basic studies (= philosophy) at the adjoining lyceum and switched to law studies at the University of Landshut in 1811.
His main occupation was the royal judge in Aub and later lived as a private scholar in Würzburg.
He introduced the genus Pyracantha (firethorn).
