Max Kröckel (born February 13, 1901 in Neuhaus am Rennweg ; † February 1, 1986 there ) was a German skier who was active in Nordic combined and ski jumping .

Career

Max Kröckel received the Thuringian State Medal in 1926 for his skiing achievements. In the same year he was third at the Austrian championships in Nordic combined and was second in ski jumping on the normal hill. During the First World War he taught soldiers to ski. At the Olympic Winter Games in St. Moritz in 1928 , he finished 14th in the Nordic Combined .

At the inauguration of the Pappenheimer Schanze on December 29, 1928 he was able to set the hill record with 56 meters.
