Max Röthlisberger

Max Röthlisberger (born September 27, 1914 in Burgdorf ; † July 28, 2003 in Zurich ) was a Swiss actor , set designer and set designer .

Life

In 1932 he founded the Junge Bühne Bern, where he worked as a director and set designer. In 1936 he became an actor at the Solothurn City Theater , in 1939 he went to the St. Gallen City Theater , where he worked as an actor and set designer for five years.

At that time he also received a few small film roles. In 1944, Röthlisberger became a set designer at the Zurich City Theater . Guest engagements have taken him to various other stages in Europe. Since 1954 he also worked for a few years for Swiss film. In 1973 he took over a professorship in Scenic Design at the Music School of the University of Bloomingdale ( Indiana ). In 1977 he received the Hans Reinhart Ring .
