Max Schipper

Max Schipper (born August 26, 1900 in Vienna ; † November 29, 1951 there ) was an Austrian singer, film and theater actor and director .

Life

Max Schipper was first seen in the film in 1931 in Wiener Liebschaften and in the same year he played in five other films. In 1932 he played supporting roles in Heut 'plays the Strauss - Kaiserwalzer and Johann Strauss K. u. K. Hofkapellmeister , in 1935 in Csardas and in 1938 in the science fiction film Robot Girl No. 1 .

From 1941 to 1944 he worked at the city theater in Eger and then in Aussig .

It was only after the Second World War that he could be seen again in films (1945: Money into the house , 1947: The millionaire ; 1948: Maresi ; 1950: Kissing is not a sin ; 1951: The old sinner ). These were small supporting and episode roles. After the war Max Schipper also director at the Vienna City Theater .

Max Schipper was married to Johanna (Hansi) Schmalwieser, the daughter of the owners of the "Friendship Hall" Friedrich and Helene Schmalwieser from Karlsbad. A wedding photo of Max Schipper and Hansi Schmalwieser was published in the Prager Tagblatt on September 12, 1936 . Max Schipper died at the age of only 50. It rests in the Ottakringer Friedhof (group 32, row 1, number 34).

Friedrich Schipper is his grandson.
