Max Westram

Max Westram (born February 18, 1856 in Breslau , † January 20, 1922 in Ratibor ) was a German politician .

Life

Born as the son of a legal secretary , Westram studied law in Breslau after attending the Maria Magdalenen High School . During his studies in 1874 he became a member of the Germania Breslau fraternity . After completing his studies, he was a trainee lawyer, but did not pass the state examination, found employment with the Magistrate of Beuthen , became a public prosecutor in Cosel and, from 1894, a registrar and salaried alderman of the city of Ratibor. He was second mayor there from 1901, then mayor from November 1920 until his death.
