Maxim Eduardowitsch Mamin ( Russian Максим Эдуардович Мамин ; born May 17, 1988 in Marneuli , Georgian SSR ) is a Russian ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with Admiral Vladivostok from the Continental Hockey League .
Career
Maxim Mamin began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the youth department of HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk , for whose professional team he made his debut in the super league in the 2006/07 season . With its team, the center won the Russian championship title straight away in its rookie year . He contributed to this success with one goal and three assists in twelve games. In the following season he came to another 21 appearances in the Super League for Metallurg.
At the 2007/08 U20 World Cup, he tested positive for norandrosterone and was banned for two years for doping in June 2008 .
Therefore, he did not play a single game in the 2008/09 season. His suspension expired in late January 2010. At the end of the 2009/10 season he went for Metallurg's junior team in the newly founded junior league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga , whose title he won with Stalnje Lissy Magnitogorsk.
In the 2010/11 season Mamin was a regular at HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk in the Continental Hockey League . The following season he moved to league rivals Salawat Julajew Ufa , for which he only completed 3 KHL games. In November 2011, the Russian was hired by HK Tractor Chelyabinsk , for which he was active until the end of the season. In the 2012/13 season he took a break from professional ice hockey. He then received a contract with Vitjas Podoslk .
Between June 2015 and February 2017 he was under contract with Admiral Vladivostok .
International
For Russia , Mamin took part in the U18 Junior World Championship in 2006 and the U20 Junior World Championship in 2008 . At the U20 Junior World Championship in 2008 he won the bronze medal with his team.
