Life

Maximilian Friedrich Anton von Nagel was born as the son of Adrian Wilhelm von Nagel and his wife Johanna Philippina Sophia Friderica von Calenberg zu Westheim and Niederhaus. In 1782 he received from Kaspar Maximilian von Korff in his capacity as Turnar a Münstersche Dompräbende . Maximilian Friedrich suffered from an incurable lung disease. His father tried to persuade him to give up in favor of his younger brother Edmund Ludwig. There was an argument between father and son. On December 6, 1791 Maximilian renounced the succession.
