Kaspar Maximilian Freiherr von Korff called Schmising (* August 15, 1751 , † October 13, 1814 ) was canon in Münster, Osnabrück and Halberstadt.

Life

Origin and family

Kaspar Maximilian von Korff called Schmising was born the son of Franz Otto von Korff called Schmising zu Tatenhausen and his wife Anna Elisabeth von Droste zu Vischering (1730–1790, daughter of Maximilian Heidenreich Droste zu Vischering and Anna Rosina von Wrede ). His brother Clemens August Heinrich (1749-1821) was Oberhofmarschall of the Elector of Cologne and Prince-Bishop of Münster.

Act

In 1779, Kaspar Maximilian received a cathedral priest from Elector Maximilian Friedrich in Münster . A year later it came into the possession of a prebende in Halberstadt . In 1782 he was appointed court advisor in the monastery of Münster . His election as cathedral capitular deputy at the Landpfennigkammer fell in 1784. He did not receive higher orders until 1790, after he had previously been appointed provost of St. Mauritz in Münster in 1787 . In 1788 he received a prebend in Osnabrück . Kaspar Maximilian was president of the “Bureau de bienfaisance” committee (support for the poor). The fund was created on the basis of the Imperial French decree of November 3, 1809 and was used for welfare.
