Maximilian Kempner

Maximilian Kempner (born June 3, 1854 in Kempen , † May 11, 1927 in Amsterdam ) was a lawyer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Kempner was a lawyer and notary in Berlin. From 1910 he was chairman of the German Potash Advisory Board and the Reichskalirate.

On October 29, 1918, with the help of the National Liberals, he was elected in a by-election as a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Berlin 1 and the Progressive People's Party , but due to the November Revolution, he was no longer accepted. Between 1920 and 1927 he was a member of the Provisional Reich Economic Council .

He was a member of the Society of Friends and the father of the DDP politician and banker Paul Kempner .
