Maximilian May

Maximilian May (born October 6, 1988 in Arnstadt ) is a former German road cyclist.

Maximilian May drove as a trainee for the Thuringian Energy Team in 2007 and received a regular contract for the following season. His twin brother Sebastian May also began his career there in 2008. In his second year with the team, Maximilian May finished ninth in the Czech one-day race Praha-Karlovy Vary-Praha . In the 2010 season he won the fourth stage at FBD Insurance Rás and was tenth overall. He also won the U23 title at the German Mountain Championships .

At the end of the 2010 season May ended his active cycling career because he did not get a contract with a professional team. He began training as a sports assistant at the sports academy of the Landessportbund Thuringia. In addition, he will contribute his experience, among other things, to the race around the Hainleite and the Thuringia tour .
