Maximilian Mayr

Maximilian Mayr (born January 1, 1820 in Sterzing , † August 7, 1883 in Völs ) was provost of Neustift monastery near Brixen 1879–1883.

Life

Maximilian Mayr, professed on January 6, 1844, ordained a priest on July 28, 1844, worked partly in pastoral care, partly in various collegiate offices, as prefect of the boys' choir, economist, collegiate dean and at the same time master of novices . In 1878 he became pastor of the Olang Abbey and as such was elected prelate on August 27, 1879, after an interregnum of almost four months.
