Wilhelm Ferdinand Maximilian Karl von Württemberg (born September 3, 1828 in Trugenhofen , Oberamt Neresheim , † July 29, 1888 in Regensburg ) was a Duke of Württemberg.

biography

Duke Maximilian was the son of Duke Paul Wilhelm von Württemberg and Princess Maria Sophia Dorothea von Thurn und Taxis . He was a great-nephew of the first King of Württemberg, Friedrich .

In 1876 he married Princess Hermine von Schaumburg-Lippe (1845–1930), daughter of Prince Adolf I of Schaumburg-Lippe. The marriage was childless. Little is known about his further life at the moment. Like his father and grandfather, he was a member of the Masonic Union .

As a member of the royal house , Maximilian had a mandate in the Württemberg Chamber of Notaries since 1851 . Between 1851 and 1870 he occasionally attended the meetings personally. After 1870 he was no longer present in person.
