Maximiliano Pereira , full name Maximiliano Rodrigo Pereira Cardozo (born April 25, 1993 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .

Career

society

According to his club, the 1.82 meter tall defender - not to be confused with his much more famous compatriot Maximiliano Pereira - comes from the youth team of Club Atlético Cerro . Since the second half of the season ( Clausura 2012) of the 2011/12 season , he was also used in the first team Cerros, which was competing in the Primera División . At the end of the 2012/13 season he played in 18 league games and was in the starting line-up. 2013/14 he was used in another twelve league games. He has not yet scored a league goal. In the Apertura of the 2014/15 season he was used in a first division game (no goal). In February 2015 he then joined the second division team Miramar Misiones , for whom he played nine second division games (two goals) in the 2015 Clausura. In the Apertura 2015 he was used three times (no goal) in the Segunda División. At the end of January 2016, he moved to the first division team Racing Club de Montevideo . In the 2016 Clausura, he played seven, in the 2016 season 14 top division games. A goal he did not succeed.

National team

Pereira was part of Uruguay's U-20 squad . At the beginning of July 2012, he was nominated for a training course for the U-20s by the then coach Juan Verzeri . For the international match against France on September 10, 2012 in La Rochelle , Pereira was appointed to the expanded 35-man squad of the U-20 national team.
