The airfield Maya Flats ( IATA code CYD) is an airfield between San Ignacio and Benque Viejo del Carmen in the Cayo District , Belize .

Maya Flats is five miles southwest of San Ignacio and two miles northeast of Benque Viejo del Carmen in the Maya Mountains . It has a 718 meter long runway and a small terminal building. Maya Flats is operated by Tropic Air and served exclusively by this airline with single-engine Cessna 208 aircraft .

There are 4 destinations in Belize every day. San Pedro and Belize City Municipal Airports have been served since opening in 2012, and Placencia and Philip SW Goldson International Airport were added in November 2013 .
