The Maylisoriidae are an extinct family of shell -bearing, sea-dwelling unicellular organisms from the group of foraminifera . It was first described in 1961 by EV Bykova on the basis of finds from eastern Kazakhstan .
Features and way of life
The kinds of order lived freely or were firmly attached to the ground. The housing had a wall made of protein, the branched tubes ended in bag-like chambers. The Maylisoriidae have been proven in fossil records from the Upper Cambrian to the Silurian . They include two genera:
