The Mayne River is a river in the southwest of the Australian state of Queensland .
geography
River course
The river rises on the northern slopes of Mount Haystack in the Quark Pot Range , about 15 km east of the Mayneside settlement.It flows west, passes Goneaway National Park in the north and flows into Diamantina National Park , south of the McCartney Range , into the Diamantina River .
