The Mayrsporn is a mountain spur in the Admiralty Mountains of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . On the Pennell Coast, it rises immediately east of the Newnes Glacier on the south bank of Protection Cove .
Scientists of the German expedition GANOVEX I (1979–1980) made his name.
