Henrique da Silveira (born January 26, 1901 in Terceira , Azores , † April 9, 1973 in Lisbon ) was a Portuguese sword fencer .

successes

Henrique da Silveira took part in four Olympic Games : in 1920 in Antwerp and 1924 in Paris , he just missed a medal win with the team in fourth place. In 1920 he also took part in the individual competition, in which he was eliminated in the second round. At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 , he and the team again reached the final round, which ended in third place behind Italy and France . Together with Mário de Noronha , Jorge de Paiva , Frederico Paredes , João Sassetti and Paulo d'Eça Leal , da Silveira received the bronze medal. In the individual, he was eliminated again in the preliminary round. In 1936 he finished the individual competition in Berlin in sixth place and the team competition in fifth.
