João Vicente de Freitas Branco Sassetti (born January 22, 1892 in Lisbon , † May 28, 1946 ibid) was a Portuguese sword fencer .
successes
João Sassetti took part in three Olympic Games : In 1920 he was eliminated in the semi-finals of the individual competition in Antwerp , while he just missed a medal win with the team in fourth place. At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 , he and the team again reached the final round, which ended in third place behind Italy and France . Together with Paulo d'Eça Leal , Jorge de Paiva , Frederico Paredes , Mário de Noronha and Henrique da Silveira , Sassetti received the bronze medal. In 1936 he finished fifth in the team competition in Berlin .
