Mário de Lopez da Vasa César Alves de Noronha (born January 15, 1885 in Lisbon , † July 9, 1973 in São Sebastião da Pedreira ) was a Portuguese sword fencer .
successes
Mário de Noronha took part in two Olympic Games : In 1924 he was eliminated in Paris in the semi-finals of the individual competition, while he just missed a medal win with the team in fourth place. At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 , he and the team again reached the final round, which ended in third place behind Italy and France . Together with Paulo d'Eça Leal , Jorge de Paiva , Frederico Paredes , João Sassetti and Henrique da Silveira , de Noronha received the bronze medal.
