Paulo Vicente Pereira d'Eça e Albuquerque Leal (born July 15, 1901 in Lisbon , † September 18, 1977 ) was a Portuguese sword fencer .

successes

Paulo d'Eça Leal took part in three Olympic Games : in 1924 in Paris he just missed a medal win with the team in fourth place. At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 , he and the team again reached the final round, which ended in third place behind Italy and France . Together with Mário de Noronha , Jorge de Paiva , Frederico Paredes , João Sassetti and Henrique da Silveira , d'Eça Leal received the bronze medal. In the individual, he was eliminated in the preliminary round. In 1936 he did not get beyond the semi-finals in the individual competition in Berlin , while he finished fifth with the team.
