Mc Ronalds Massaker is the second studio album by the Austrian punk rock band Drahdiwaberl .

production

After the unexpected success of the album Psychoterror , the band went into the studio to work on a successor. As with the predecessor, the Austrian producer Markus Spiegel took over the production. The cover and artwork were again designed by Stefan Weber .

The album was recorded in January 1982 in the Austrophone studio in Vienna.

The release took place in the spring of 1982 in Austria under the label GiG Records and in Germany under Teldec . The design of the album was much more complex than the debut album, because the album now also had a booklet , for example , which contained detailed information about the band and various performances.

In Austria, it didn't take long to achieve success, the album entered the charts at number 13 and even made it to number 3. The sales figures also matched those of the previous album. In Germany, however, Drahdiwaberl was still part of the underground .

The single "Heavy Metal Holocaust" was released in Austria and the single "Supersheriff" was released in Germany, but neither of them made it to the charts.

The content of the album follows on from that of Psychoterror , only the lyrics are not primarily directed against the Austrian upper class , but rather against the executive , which is particularly well expressed in the song "Supersheriff".
