Mechthild Fürst-Diery

Mechthild Fürst-Diery (born August 24, 1942 in Munich ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

After graduating from high school in Munich, Fürst-Diery became an electrical engineer. From 1980 to 1986 she studied psychology and from 1988 to 1997 she was the equal opportunities officer of the Offenbach district . Joined the CDU in 1983, she was a member of the Neu-Isenburg city ​​council from 1985 to 1997 , most recently as chairwoman of the main committee. 1997 Prince-Diery was the first woman in Mannheim for mayor elected, with the responsibility for social affairs, youth and health. In 2005 she became First Mayor and thus Deputy Mayor . She retired two years later.
