Gerd Möckel

Gerd Möckel (born March 20, 1943 in Rottmannsdorf ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and former member of the Saxon state parliament .

Life

After graduating from high school in Zwickau , Gerd Möckel studied from 1962 to 1966 at the TH Dresden and at the PJ Halle. He passed his state examination as a teacher of mathematics and physics. In 1966 and 1967 Möckel worked as a teacher at the Cainsdorf High School . After that, in 1967 and 1969, he did his military service . Between 1969 and 1990 Möckel was employed as a teacher at the Pestalozzi High School Rodewisch. From 1990 to 1992 he was head of the school administration in Auerbach / Vogtl. and then acting head of the school administration in Falkenstein / Vogtl. From 1992 Möckel was the deputy head of the education authority in the state education authority in Falkenstein / Vogtl.

Möckel is a Protestant, married and has two children.

Gerd Möckel was independent until January 1990, when he joined the CDU city association Rodewisch. He was a member of the board. Since 1990 he has been a member of the district council in the Auerbach / Vogtl district. where he was chairman of the Building and Economic Committee.

In October 1994 Möckel was elected via constituency 4 (Göltzschtal 2) with 56.0 percent of the votes in the Saxon state parliament, to which he belonged for an electoral period until 1999. There he was a member of the committee for school youth and sport.
