Mechtild Sandberg-Ciletti

Mechtild Sandberg-Ciletti (* in the 20th century ) is a German translator . She has translated numerous works by Elizabeth George , Nina Bawden and Joy Fielding , as well as Ayla and the Bear Clan .

Professional background

Mechtild Sandberg-Ciletti completed a degree in English and graduated from the interpreting school in Munich as a qualified translator for English. She then worked as a business translator in Geneva for two years . She then returned to Munich, where she interpreted and translated for a US entrepreneur. Two years later she started working as a crime fiction translator for Goldmann Verlag , with a five-year hiatus due to a stay in the United States. From 1989 to 2004 she translated all of the Inspector Lynley crime novels by Elizabeth George that had been published by then. Since the 1980s she has also translated psychological thrillers by Joy Fielding, crime novels by Deborah Crombie and numerous other works. Mechtild Sandberg-Ciletti mainly worked for publishers from the Random House publishing group . She lives in Munich.
