Medal for merit, devotion and loyalty

The medal for merit, devotion and loyalty was donated in gold and silver by Duke Heinrich von Anhalt-Köthen in 1835 .

Court and state servants could be awarded the award for outstanding services and longstanding service. The gold medal was reserved exclusively for high-ranking civil servants.

The front of the medal shows the initial H (Heinrich) surrounded by an oak wreath and surmounted by a ducal crown. The crowned coat of arms of Anhalt can be seen on the back. All around the inscription FOR MERIT, RELIABILITY AND LOYALTY .

The medal was worn on a white ribbon with green side stripes on the left breast or in the buttonhole.
