Medal for the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the armed forces of the Socialist Republic of Romania
The medal for the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the armed forces of the Socialist Republic of Romania ( Romanian A XXX-a aniversare a Zilei Armatei Republicii Socialiste România ) was a state award of the Socialist Republic of Romania . The foundation took place on September 23, 1974 by decree 183 of the Council of State ( Consiliul de stat ). The publication of the statutes was announced on September 26, 1974 in the Romanian State Gazette ( Buletinul oficial ) No. 119. The medal, which was donated in a class, was awarded to military and civilians who had helped strengthen the army. The medal was also awarded to persons and veterans of the anti-fascist war Romania against Hitler Germany in World War II .
Appearance and wearing style
The obverse of the gold-plated medal shows a shield in the national colors of Romania (blue, yellow, red) with rays. In the middle bar of the coat of arms a sword pointing upwards is placed. In the foreground, three soldiers' heads are shown in profile, representing the three armed forces of the Romanian armed forces (from left: Air Force , Army, Navy ). Below these people there is a semicircular branch of laurel. The reverse of the medal shows the four-line inscription: XXX / 1944 - 1974/25 OCTOMBRIE / ZIUA ARMATEI .
The medal was worn on the left side of the chest of the borrower on a 35 mm wide white ribbon with a wine-red hem. The median is woven in the national colors of blue, yellow and red.
