Medhovden is a towering and icy cliff with a steep, rocky, east-facing slope in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . In Gjelsvikfjella it rises at the northeastern end of Risemedet .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped it on the basis of aerial photographs and measurements of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960). Its Norwegian name loosely translated means landmark cliff .
