The Risemedet ( Norwegian for Large Landmark ) is a 2705 m high mountain in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . It marks the eastern end of Gjelsvikfjella .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named the mountain, carried out a mapping based on aerial photographs and measurements by the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
