The Media Quarter Marx is a media location for companies from the creative industries and the media branch in Vienna . It is being developed by ZIT - Die Technologieagentur der Stadt Wien GmbH together with private investors and is located in the Sankt Marx district in the 3rd district of Landstrasse .

The Media Quarter Marx consists of a total of three buildings, two of which are former administration buildings of the slaughterhouse originally located in Sankt Marx, which have been renovated and revitalized. In these two brick buildings (Media Quarter Marx 1 and 2) there are around 4000 m² of office, production and event space, where, among other things, the television programs Willkommen Österreich and Gute Nacht Österreich are recorded. The third stage of development with the Media Quarter Marx 3 was completed at the end of 2011. Studio and post-production areas were created on an additional 35,000 m² .

The tenants include the entire Echo Medienhaus-Verlag and Wiener Zeitung . In August 2012, ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 GmbH, which broadcasts a full Austrian TV program with Puls 4 in addition to the stations ProSieben Austria, SAT.1 Austria, kabel eins austria and sixx Austria , moved into the Media Quarter Marx 3. ORF's plans to sell its studios on Rosenhügel and relocate them to the Media Quarter were abandoned in 2014.
