The median snowfield is a large snowfield in Queen Elizabeth Land, West Antarctica . In the Pensacola Mountains , it lies between the Torbert Escarpment of the Neptune Range and the southern part of the Forrestal Range .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy from the years 1956 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after its geographical location between the Neptune Range and the Forrestal Range.
