The Medwen Glacier ( Bulgarian ледник Медвен lednik Medwen ) is a 2.5 km long and 1.8 km wide glacier on the east side of the John Paul II Peninsula of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It flows from the eastern slopes of Oryahovo Heights in an easterly direction to Prisoe Cove , where it joins between Remetalk Point and Agüero Point .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2005 after the town of Medwen in the eastern Balkan Mountains in Bulgaria .
