Flour mill (Niederau)

The flour mill is located in the Niederau district of Düren in the street Tuchbleiche .

The watermill was built in the 18th century and modified in the 19th century. It is the former flour mill of the Burgau rulership .

The broad-mounted two-story building is on the ground floor of rubble masonry with stone jambs . The upper floor is made of bricks . A hipped roof covers the building. It was driven by a horizontal water wheel on the mill pond. Inside you can see the transmission and the grinder from the 20th century.

The building is entered under No. 2/002 in the list of monuments of the city of Düren.
