Meike Strydom (born August 25, 2000 ) is a South African shot putter who also competes in the discus throw .

Athletic career

Meike Strydom gained her first international experience at the U20 World Championships 2018 in Tampere , where she finished fifth with a width of 15.89 m. Then she won the bronze medal at the African Championships in Asaba with 15.99 m behind her compatriot Ischke Senekal and Jessica Inchude from Guinea-Bissau. In the following year she finished fifth in the discus throw at the Junior African Championships in Abidjan with 43.28 m and at the African Games in Rabat she won the bronze medal behind the Nigerian Oyesade Olatoye and compatriot Senekal with 14.64 m .
