history
Meiko was founded in 1927 by Oskar Meier and Franz Konrad. The current owner is the Oskar and Rosel Meier Foundation . Most of the group's financing is handled through this foundation .
The managing director is Stefan Scheringer. The group has around 2000 employees worldwide. The group's turnover in 2013 was 260 million euros, of which 108 million euros were achieved at the Offenburg location. The export quota is more than 50%. The holding company for the operational business of the group is MEIKO Verwaltungs GmbH , Offenburg.

KG develops and manufactures industrial machines and flushing systems, conveyor systems, food waste systems, washer-disinfectors , bedpan as well as accessories such as tables, shelves. Customers are caterers , restaurants , hotels , hospitals , retirement and nursing homes , bakeries , pastry shops , butchers , flight caterers and cruise ships. The company is the market leader in the field of basket transport and conveyor belts and washer-disinfectors.
The MEIKO iron foundry GmbH produces parts from cast iron and spheroidal graphite cast iron for customers in the engineering, Fittings , assembly technology and plant construction ago. Christian Meyer is the managing director.
