history
The hamlet with 68 inhabitants (as of the end of 2001) was first mentioned in a document on February 22, 1320. The estate of the hamlet belonged to the ancestral seat of the Lords of Kospoth alongside the estate in Kospoda . The owners then changed often. In 1417 Heinrich von Hain received the Meilitz estate.
The parishes of Kospoda and Meilitz have always worked together.
Agriculture was also subject to development in the GDR and quickly found new forms of work in the country after reunification .
