My musical (Original title: My Musical ) is the total of 123. episode and the sixth episode of the sixth season of American Hospital - dramedy series Scrubs - The Beginner . The episode is about Patti Miller, who experiences everyone singing and dancing due to a brain aneurysm , which means she hears everyday hospital life musically. Conceived as a musical , the episode was written by Debra Fordham and directed by Will Mackenzie . The idea came from the musical fan and creator of the series, Bill Lawrence . The songs were written by Paul F. Perry, Jan Stevens, Doug Besterman, Jeff Marx and Robert Lopez . It was first broadcast in the USA on January 18, 2007 on NBC , and in Germany on October 27, 2007 on ProSieben .

Patti Miller faints in the park and is discovered by Elliot and JD. When she wakes up, she hears herself and everyone else singing. Meanwhile, Carla has decided not to stay at home with her child, but instead to go to work, which is a nuisance for Turk. Elliot, in turn, bought a small house. JD is initially furious that Elliot is quitting the shared apartment because of this . But Elliot and JD make up like Carla and Turk again. Patti Miller is cured of her illness after a brain operation and sees everything back to normal.

My musical was nominated for a total of five awards in four categories at the 2007 Primetime Emmy Awards . The episode won the Emmy Award together with the episode A Day in St. Fernando Valley of the series Entourage in the sound mixing category for a series or a special (multi-camera) .
