Mekisteus (son of Echios)
Mekisteus ( Greek Μηκιστεύς ) is a figure in Greek mythology . He is the son of Echios and comrade in arms of Teukros in the Trojan War .
Mekisteus rescues Teukros, who was badly wounded by Hector in battle, and brings him to the Greek ships with Alastor . He himself fell at his father's side in a fight with polydamas .
