Mel Metcalfe

Mel Metcalfe (born before 1981) is an American sound engineer .

Life

Metcalfe started working in sound post-production in 1981, his first film work was Nachtfalken with Sylvester Stallone in the lead role. He also worked for television productions in the 1980s and was first nominated for an Emmy in 1982 . After two further nominations, he received his first Emmy in 1984 for his work on a television adaptation of Endstation Sehnsucht . He received his second Emmy the following year. In 1987 he was nominated for an Oscar for the first time as the sound engineer for Star Trek IV: Back to the Present . Further nominations followed in 1992 and 1993 for the Disney productions Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin .
