Melba Ramos (* before 1987 in Aguadilla , Puerto Rico ) is an American opera singer ( soprano ).

Life

She received her vocal training at the Pablo Casals Conservatory of Music in San Juan , the capital of Puerto Rico. She was shaped by internationally renowned singing teachers: Giuseppe Di Stefano , Anna Moffo , John Donermann and Renata Scotto . After her stage debut as Despina in Così fan tutte , the artist was a member of the opera studio of the Cologne Opera from 1989 to 1992 , followed by an engagement at the Wuppertal Opera House .
