Melbourne Darts Masters

The Melbourne Darts Masters is a darts tournament that is organized by the PDC as part of the World Series of Darts . The competition was held for the first time in 2017 .

The current defending champion is the Dutchman Michael van Gerwen , who won the final with 8: 3 legs against the Northern Irishman Daryl Gurney .

format

A total of 16 players take part in the tournament. These include the top 6 of the PDC Order of Merit , two wildcard players and 8 local qualifiers.

The tournament will be played in a knockout system . In the 1st round the game mode is a best of 11 legs . The quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals are played in the best of 15 legs mode.

Prize money

A total of £ 60,000 in prize money will be awarded to the tournament. The prize money is distributed among the participants as follows:
