Melchior Thalmann (born May 21, 1924 - August 28, 2013 ) was a Swiss gymnast and participant in the Olympic Games.
Thalmann began his sports career in 1940 at TV Oerlikon and was a member of the Swiss national team from 1948 to 1954. He took part in four international competitions and won a medal with the team in each of them: 1950 gold in the world championship, silver in the Olympic Games in 1948 and 1952 , and bronze in the world championships in 1954. In the world championship in 1950 he reached the overall standings 11 place. At the Swiss Championships in 1949 he was champion on the pommel horse .
