Melchor Cob Castro
Melchor Cob Castro (* 18th April 1968 in Campeche , Mexico ) is a former Mexican boxer in the flyweight .
Professional career
In 1985 he successfully started his professional career. On March 25, 1991 he boxed against Rolando Pascua for the world championship title of the association WBC and won by knockout. However, he lost this belt in his first title defense in June of the same year to Humberto González on points.
On August 25, 1997, he became WBO world champion when he defeated Jesus Chong on points. He also lost this belt in his first title defense to Juan Domingo Córdoba in the following year.
In 2008 he ended his career.
