Mele French (born June 15, 1984 in San Clemente , California ) is an American football player .
Career
French began her career in 2008 in the W-League - Franchise of the Pali Blues , with which they won the championship, and the WPSL franchise Ajax America . For the WPS season 2009 she was drafted by Sky Blue FC , but came there only for one use as a substitute. From January 2010, French played for half a year at Bundesliga club SC Freiburg , where they came to ten missions in the second half of the 2009/10 season and scored two goals. She then moved back to the United States and joined the W-League championship team of the Buffalo Flash . This French remained loyal in 2011, in which the team competed as Western New York Flash in the WPS, but did not appear in the league. In 2012 she played for the Canadian W-League participant Vancouver Whitecaps Women , in the following season she returned to the Pali Blues and won the championship again there, as in 2008. French was able to repeat this triumph in 2014 with the Los Angeles Blues , which emerged from a merger of Pali Blues and Los Angeles Strikers . For the 2015 season she moved to W-League rivals Seattle Sounders Women , who loaned her to NWSL participant Seattle Reign FC for a short time at the start of the season.
In the 2016 season, French won the first ever championship in the newly founded UWS with the Santa Clarita Blue Heat franchise .
