Mellica Mehraban (born September 25, 1984 ) is an Iranian - Danish actress .
life and career
Mellica Mehraban (also: Melisa Mehraban, Farsi : ملیکا مهربان (ملیسا مهربان)) was born in Iran, but grew up in Denmark. She has a bachelor's degree in film and theater . She has acted in two television series and several short films. The short film Mina , in which Mellica Mehraban plays the leading role, was shown on arte on October 15, 2010 . For this role she received an honorable mention at the European Short Film Festival Cologne 2009. In the same year, the Danish series The Protectors , in its 17th and 18th episodes, received an Emmy Award in the International Drama Series . She had her first major feature film appearance in 2009 in the female lead in the film Fox Hunting in Iran. In 2010 Fox Hunting was winner of the DetectiveFEST in Moscow in the Feature Detective Film category, along with four other films . In addition, Mellica Mehraban won there for the portrayal of Veronica in Fox Hunting in the antihero category.
Laerke Posselt from Denmark received the World Press Photo Award 2011 in the portraits category for a portrait of Mellica Mehraban .
