Peïro Plantado

The menhir Peïro Plantado , also called the menhir of Champduy, is a menhir in a vineyard in Cabasse in the Var department in France .

The oval limestone menhir has a diameter of 0.5 m at the base and is 2.25 m high. According to Laflotte, in 1866 the owner of the field had dug up to 1.0 m deep at the foot of the menhir, which led to the inclination of the menhir. He found some flakes of flint and charcoal. The investigation also revealed that the menhir widens towards its base.

The stone, classified as a monument historique in 1889 , was straightened in 1924 by the new owner of the property.
