Menhir du Pic

The approximately 5.3 meters high Neolithic menhir du Pic (also called Pierre Sourde - Tauber Stein ) is made of local sandstone and is located near the hamlet of Maurants, near Le Pic , northeast of Javerdat in the Haute-Vienne department in France .

The menhir , horizontally split in the lower area, lying on the ground for a long time and raised again in 1985, is the highest in the Haute-Vienne department and has been registered as a monument historique since 1987 .
